[b]Adrian Seitz and the Swiss comps season[b]
UP Trango XC2 pilot Adrian Seitz won the Sports Class title in the Swiss League 2013, and came second Overall in the Swiss Championships Sports Class as well. Fine result there Adrian! And Nanda Walliser, also on Trango XC2, was equally well placed in the female rankings! Good on all you Swiss!

Kantega XC 2 - now with expanded weight ranges
Our UP Kantega XC2 is a popular performance EN B wing, here shown in one of the new 2014 colour combinations

The Kantega XC2 is a very popular wing in the performance EN D segment. But feedback from pilots out there has suggested that the original weight ranges made it difficult to buy one for the sweet spot of many pilots, not least since UP recommends flying our wings around the middle of the weight range for most purposes. As a consequence we have gone and taken the Kantega XC2 sizes S, M and L back to Paratest for re-certification with their weight ranges expanded upwards. This means that "the middle of the weight range" gets wider too, and should make it much easier for pilots to find the exactly right size for their all-up weight. ulazi mi u uži izbor mrak
ima li to ko?

ja bi bil zadovoljan i sa običnom kantegom XC demode - novo ak bi se kaj našlo za ne baš velike novce jer je moja kantega L 2004 god. pri kraju!!!

Nazalost sve nove katenge demode su prodane, ostalo je jos nesto novih Ascenta2, ,SummitaXC2, K2 2 i Tranga XC

nikaj onda mi penziči imamo vremena čekati, dok bu nekaj takšnega javi!!!

Introducing the new UP Summit XC3 - the new benchmark in the EN B class!
When we first introduced the Trango XC2, after having certified it to EN C standards, we frankly thought the life of the Summit series wings was over. Boy were we wrong! Although the Trango XC2 is a very accessible wing it has turned out to be very much too much of a thoroughbred for the majority of intermediate XC pilots; precisely the pilot profile that the Summit always catered to. For this reason, and with a certain pride and bravado, here cometh that all-new XC pilot's dream machine: The Summit XC3!

Thermik Fair in Sindelfingen, Saturday, Feb. 22. We will be there - will you?
The annual Thermik Fair in Sindelfingen is scheduled for Feb. 22. from 1000 to 1800h. This is the largest and most important trade fair in the German-speaking area, and as a German-based manufacturer for the World market we wouldn't miss it for anything. We'll be there with our full stand of equipment so you may touch, feel, discuss and covet anything that we have in our product portfolio with your own eyes and hands. And there will be UP staff there to answer any questions you may have - we look forward to seeing you!

Stubai Cup - the next level
Another classic during the winter months is the Stubai Cup, this year scheduled for March 7.-9. Although the Stubai Cup has always been flyable, moving it to early March must surely make things even better. The Stubai Cup is where you go to actually test fly all the gear you fell in love with at the Thermik Fair in Sindelfingen - most manufacturers are there, ready to lend their wings to prospective buyers from all over the world. At UP we don't mind sharing you all with our competitors; our wings are as convincing in the air as on the fair, and if we can only get you onboard one we are pretty confident that you will like it! We hope to see you at the Stubai Cup!

•High A/R of 6.3 (flat) - awesome climbing even in weak conditions, but due to high arc design still very manageable handling and safety,
•New Brake Tensioning System (BTS2) - perfect handling and great climbing ability,
•BB pulleys used throughout on the speed system - soft, efficient speed bar,
•New speed system which changes the AoA differently across the span - more stability at high speeds, collapses rare and more benign (hence the EN B rating),

The Ascent 3 - from school hill to FAI triangles

The amazing 118km FAI triangle flown by Hans Poscher on a UP Ascent 3 recently is as good an occasion as any to remind our friends out there what an amazing wing the Ascent 3 is! It is hugely popular with a number of schools in Germany and elsewhere because it is such an easy and forgiving wing to learn on, but at the same time flights like the one by Hans Poscher are now within reach of pilots not normally accustomed to such Airborne Adventures. The new master in the EN C class - Trango XC3!



A whole new way to look at performance in the leisure class
The rumours have been out for almost 6 months - there was a new UP top-end EN C wing in the making. We're proud to announce the new top-of-the-range UP Trango XC3, our latest flagship at the very top of the recreational classes. It has been hard work to improve on the popular Trango XC2, with around 20 prototypes having been made over the course of some two years, and countless test flights flown all over Europe and beyond, but as of Thursday last week the new baby has passed the EN certification procedures in the M size, and the first batch of production wings in size M have been ordered.
The M size will thus start flowing out to the early birds in early February, the L size in late February, S/M is available from March, and S from April. As usual, first to order is served first!
Please note that the Trango XC3 colour chooser isn't ready yet, it'll only be published in a few days' time!

Trango XC3 latest news
Please note that the weight range has been updated for the M size - it now covers from 90-115kgs. Also note that some pilots have found the new wing to be sensitive to chest strap setting; if you fly it with the chest strap too tight you may find that it rolls a bit much during fast transitions, whereas when you open up the strap the wing goes like it is on rails.
We've been getting some pretty hefty feedback from around the World on this wing, and each time we hear of a new pilot falling in love we grow a few mm in our shoes, appreciating the hype more and more. Click on the button below to read what pilots have had to say so far

Summit XC3 now also LTF certified
Over the years we've grown used to the two letters EN (meaning "European Norm") signifying that something is homologated to a joint European standard, and thus being marketable all over the European Union. Alas, it turns out that there are exceptions to this convenient system.In Germany only paragliders homologated according to the Lufttüchtigkeitsforderungen (literally "airworthiness requirements", LTF) as defined by the German Ministry for Transport may be legally flown - so much for standardisation within the EU - so when it became apparent that the accreditation process which our usual certification institute, Air Turqouise, was going through was being drawn out, we went and re-certified the Summit XC3 with EAPR, who is already LTF accredited.

Meet the gladiators: The UP X-Alps team
Prepare to be awed! On July 5th we'll all once again be glued to our computer screens for days on end, following the spectacle that is the Red Bull X-Alps event unfold in real-time before our eyes, as close to being there as it gets without actually being there - or more in fact, since we can see all of them at once, whereas the physical spectators can only see one, or a few, at a time."They" being the X-Alps contenders of course, and we're stoked to announce that our two favourite pilots of all time, Ferdy van Schelven and Honza Rejmanek, are on UP wings again - this time on stock-standard Trango XC3's
